1.   Introduction

Casting is the process of selecting actors, performers, or artistes for specific roles in films, television shows, theater productions, advertisements, and other media projects. It involves evaluating talent based on skills, appearance, suitability for the role, and overall fit with the project’s vision. Casting is a crucial step in pre- production, as the right selection can significantly impact the success of a project.

3.   Types of Casting

  • Lead Roles: Main characters (protagonists/antagonists).

  1. Pre-Casting Preparation

  • Casting Director’s Role: A professional who scouts, auditions, and recommends actors for roles.

B. Auditions & Screen Tests

  • Initial Auditions: Actors perform selected scenes or monologues.
  • Callback Auditions: Shortlisted candidates undergo further testing, sometimes with chemistry reads (for co-stars).
  • Screen Tests: Filmed auditions to assess on-camera presence.

C. Final Selection

  • The director, producer, and casting team review performances and select the best fit.
  • Contract negotiations and scheduling follow.

9. Charges

  • Artistes are basically Celebrities, Males, Females, Kids etc, they can be further divided into A,B,C categories on the basis of looks, personality, talent etc ,
  • Celebrities are the costliest of the lot and it is also known as celebrity management, we don’t deal in them
  • Males artistes are cheaper is compared to female artistes, as a result category A artiste range from 5000 per day to category C 1000 per day, talented people like dancers, comedians etc can cost minimum 5000 per day. Anchors can come from 3000-50000 per day. Influencers can come at a higher price depending upon the level of influencers.
  • Females artistes are costlier as compared to male artistes, as a result category A artiste range from 15000 per day to category C 5000 per day, talented people like dancers etc can cost minimum 5000 per day, Anchors can range from 3000-50000 per day. Influencers can come at a higher price depending upon the level of influencers.
  • Kids artistes can range from category A artiste range from 2000 per day to category C 1000 per day, talented people like comedians etc can cost minimum 2000 per day

10. Terms and Conditions

  • Pictures/Portfolios can be shown but are not to misused by the clients
  • Agreement/Purchase Order(PO) and advance is mandatory before hiring the artiste
  • An agreement will be made with the artiste also stating the facts that we can use artiste photos and videos
  • Booking amount has to be paid before the artiste goes to work
  • We don’t work with other agencies or coordinators unless advance is given and agreement or purchase order(PO) with the actual client is shown
  • Advance is irrefundable if there is an cancellation of the event
  • Advance is  only refundable if the artiste doesn’t turn up
  • Artiste given by us has a validity of one year that is if the client tries to contact the artiste during the period of one year, money will still be paid to us
  • Payment can be on contract basis that is payment will be given to us and we will make the payment to the artiste or on commission basis, that is payment will be given to the artiste and we will be given commission
  • We are not responsible if the artiste gets delayed or any mishap or wrong happening done by the artiste, as we are just a mediator
  • All disputes are subject to Delhi Jurisdiction
